Very nice looking shoes. More money should have been put in to a softer sole or have more cushion from heal to toe instead of putting the shoes in a special black box. Arch support is good but not a cushioned walk for someone who is on feet almost all day.

I have another version of these shoes. The non-leather pair, from last summer. Which I loved from the time I put them on. These have been an on-going love - hate relationship. My first impression was that of disappointment. The soles are relatively thin and would not be good for a runner (indicates walking and thats best). After a day at work (nurse), they leave my feet fatigued. I have to change shoes to take my dog for 2 mile walk after work. The actual quality is very good. The uppers (main area) are soft leather, almost a glove leather that feel very nice. They are very light. They look great and the fit is perfect, I usually wear a 40, which is a 9 and these say 9-9.5. I'll keep working them into my summer work days and dog walks.

By Diane Mchugh
I bought these on a recommendation from a fitness magazine. They are beautifully constructed and give good arch support. I wear a size 9 shoe and purchsed the 9-9.5 but they ran small. I thought they were snug but tried them on a walk which resulted in a blister by the second mile. I took them off and walked in my socks. Since I can wear open toe shoes in a 8.5 I know my foot is not larger than 9.5. My walking partner commented that they looked narrow as well. I'd love to order another pair but hesitate...I think they are best purchased when tried on in person, especially if you have wide feet.
