Shoes are light & comfortable & fairly good looking. Having had a fractured hip & knee as well as a reconstructed ankle (all in the 1980's) it was tough for me to do any amount of walking without pain. Since I started wearing MBT's I was able to work from a mile or less in May of 2011 up to a 4.5 mile walk in about 60 minutes 5 to 6 days a week & I am happy with my progress as well as content not to try to do too much more. In the past I tried regular hiking boots, walking shoes, etc. & always ended up giving up because of pain after a few days.While the shoes (MBT's) do take some getting used to I would not want to do any serious walking again without them. The price @ Amazon.com was low enough that I decided to buy 3 pairs or asstd. MBT walking shoes after having two pair of knockoffs wear out after about 250 miles per pair -- the two pair of MBT's I already had have about 300 miles each on them & still look almost pristine.

I do a lot of standing in my profession and after decades on my feet my hips were becoming very painful. I noticed MBT shoes in advertisements and after reading reviews from people with similar problems as mine, I went to a shoe store and tried walking I them. It was love at first step. My posture automatically improved and the rest is history. I have several pairs. These are expensive shoes but at Amazon I bought them at a fraction of their original price.

I've been going through a long healing process from a broken foot, as of a couple months ago, I have my Talus Bone dieing off and very painful!! My Dr. ordered a Leather Lace up support for now until we can see what the body is going to do, wearing regular shoes with the leather support was very hard and made walking very hard. The orthotic Tech that fitted the support suggested the Rocker Bottom Shoe, not knowing what he meant I did some internet searching and found the MBT's, there are copy cats out there but the MBT's are the orginals, after checking some reviews I bought one pair at a local shoe store, not know what size I'd need due to the support on my foot, then I bought this pair of MBT's!! They are wonderful and actually give my foot the rest it needs while I'm on my feet, Takes a couple weeks to get used to them after that you won't notice the rocker effect, don't give up on them!! I work construction and after I get back to work I will be wearing another style of MBT's as well, so nice waking up in the morning with Happy Feet!! Your foot just rolls with each step, think about it, your foot is rolling like a tire, a tire doesn't like rolling with a flat spot on it, which is like wearing a regular shoe, your heal hits then it goes flat, the MBT your heal hits with a great cushion then rolls like a tire!! You won't be sorry, I thought I was wearing good shoes before, now wearing these I can't believe I was wearing anything else!!
