First off, If you buy these boots buy them from MooseJaw on Amazon. They have outstanding customer service and quick shipping.
One these boots run a little large. I am normally a 7 in boots (for thick socks and wiggle room) but the 7s were huge. My ankle slipped out of the back and i could barely walk. I am shipping back and getting the 6.5 which I hope will be small enough. The toe is a little round so they are a little wider in the toe so i feel like my feet look a little round. I love the colors together and the buckles add a great touch. I have smaller legs so these are a little big around the calf but i synched the buckles a little tight. I do need to cut a bit of the leather off as the leather flaps are a little long when i pull them tighter. Much cuter then regular winter boots. They seem like they would be very warm and the soles are very grippy. Cant wait to get these in the 6.5!!!
update: I got the 6.5 in the mail and i lowered my score to a 4. My ankles still come out of the boots when I walk and this is with thick socks. I have small narrow feet, so this may be why. Even in the 6.5 I feel my feet look big and round but they are sooo cute and really comfortable. I am going to stick with the 6.5!

I was worried these would be too narrow, but the wool and leather offer just enough stretch for my Flintstone feet. It's like Sorel wrapped two little wool blankets around my feet and secured them with rugged, yet attractive, leather straps. Lots of support, enough tread to prevent eating it on the Maine ice, but still totally appropriate for wearing to my (casual) office, or going out for hot toddies with friends. Highly recommend.

Hard good sole with nice treads. Blanket part, warm wool. Only one layer so you will need to wear a sock or legging under the boot. These guys are super warm and perfect on a cold day.
